Never translate IT terms into Bahasa Indonesia

Never translate IT terms into Bahasa Indonesia. Do you know why? Because it’s dangerous, especially when it is taught in school. See samples below. (Jangan sekali-kali menerjemahkan istilah IT ke bahasa Indonesia. Tahukah mengapa, karena ini sangat berbahaya terutama jika diajarkan di sekolah. Lihatlah contoh berikut) :

1. Hardware : Barangkeras

2. Software : Baranglembut

3. Joystick : Batang gembira

4. Plug and play : Colok dan main

5. Port : Lubang

6. Server : Pelayan

7. Client : Pelanggan

Try to translate this : (Silahkan coba untuk terjemahkan kalimat di bawah)

ENGLISH :  The server provides a plug and play service for the clients using either hardware and software joystick. Just plug the joystick into the server port and enjoy it.

INDONESIA:  Pelayan itu menyediakan layanan colok dan main untuk pelanggannya dengan menggunakan batang gembira jenis keras atau lembut. Cukup dengan mencolokkan batang gembira itu ke lubang pelayan dan nikmati.

See how dangerous it is!! (lihatlah, sangat berbahaya bukan).

So be carefully.
